Should Sam start our best 11 against Bristol City?
On Saturday we will be playing a Div 1 team that we should beat easily, but we are West Ham and all have memories of defeat snatched from the potential of a glorious victory.

Ginge and Tomkins were both injured yesterday and some players took heavy knocks including Valencia and Downing. Noble and Song are still coming back from injury so does BFS potentially risk our push up the league or play a weakened team on Saturday?

Is it a minor dilemma or should we go all out for cup glory?

Surely they will put out their strongest eleven?

Don't most teams have a week until their next game to then refocus on the league?

Answer is definitely yes, but bear in mind Bristol C may not put out their best, because they'll be more interested in getting promoted - like Bournemouth v Liverpool, as BFS said.

If anyone has any minor knocks or illnesses don't risk them. Otherwise play the first team

God yes!
I can remember us winning the FA cup but I suspect I'm in a minority here.

Think if you do a bit of digging WHU have lost more players to long-term injury on the training ground than in any game in recent years.

Injuries happen that's why you have a squad to cope with anything that is thrown your way.

This will be a very tough game. They have nothing to lose, are flying and full of confidence. We need to treat it like a game at Everton. Best team which will hopefully not include Nolan starting.

No because Bristol City are top of the 1st Division and have won 12 of their last 13 games, drawing the other. If we don't respect them it will be egg on faces time yet again

Mincers?

What would be unforgivable is getting a key player injured a week before a game at Anfield that we could actually win for the first time in 50 years, just because a few mincers can't handle the idea of perfectly capable players getting a run out against Bristol City.

It would be unforgivable if he doesn't considering it'll be 6 days until we play again away to Liverpool and the scousers will have another midweek game in between away to Chelsea in the league cup.

When he's in control we're Championship standard and when he's not we're 7th in the Premier League and rightly so.

Bloke's been found out only some still can't cope with it.

Not an Allardyce apologist. Quite simply our best manager since Pardew. And if he finishes top eight this season and has another cup run after last season's semi appearance, will be the best since Redknapp.

Adrian
Jenko Burke Reid Cresswell
Amalfitano Downing Poyet Song
Valencia Carroll

Get a few youngsters on the bench and give them some minutes if we are winning

Best team obviously. Why would we not?
